I am a wife of an amazing man who loves God. I am a mom of three creative sons who are compassionate and kind. I am a mother-in-love to two beautiful young women, one of which is the mom of my awesome three incredible grandsons. I am a Children’s Minister whose heart is completely dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with as many children as possible.
Prior to God calling me to full-time Children’s ministry, I had the privilege to lead worship for 18 years in at Saddleback, a large church in Southern California. God has blessed me with opportunities to share His love and grace with people in all walks of life and cultures, as well as speak to women through retreats and conferences in different parts of the country. I spent several years traveling the globe sharing God’s grace and love through music in six different countries. I have learned something new from each place I’ve been, and most people I’ve met. As a vocalist, I was able to share in the making of music with awesome artists and organizations like the Continental Singers, Maranatha Music, Bill and Gloria Gaither, Andree and Sandra Crouch and Integrity Music. I spent most of my music ministry serving with my dear brother, Pastor and mentor, Rick Muchow at Saddleback Church.
After being “called” to children’s ministry, I realized that this is definitely my purpose…to help children understand that no matter what they have done or will do, or what will happen to them, God loves them and has a beautiful purpose for their lives. I love to write curriculum and see it come to life! I am dedicated to partnering with families to help them guide and disciple their kids to walk with Jesus and to know what they believe before they leave children’s ministry!
For fun…I love to hang out with my grand-buddies, take long walks, and spend time with friends and family at the beach! I grew up in the oceans of Hawaii and California and feel most at peace hearing the sound of the waves and feeling sand in my toes.
I love God’s word. I love to read and to listen to music. I love to be with my hubby Pete. He is my best friend, my ministry partner, an incredible drummer and team player, and my example of real perseverance and strength. It is my joy and humble privilege to serve children and their families in a world filled with brokenness and confusion. I love to dream! After dreaming, I love to help make it happen with hard work, team building, and going the distance in order to make the time a child spends learning about God, the most fun part of their week, and the most exciting time of their life!
Mostly, I love the Lord Jesus…and I am eternally grateful that He loves me.
